  1. I don't have specific career goals, but I do know that I would love to do something that I could possibly incorporate art. I do consider myself a social person. Only because I like to make a goof of myself in public, making people laugh, giving random high-fives and saying hello to strangers. During my free time I enjoy watching Netflix, skateboarding/longboarding, and watching classic movies (i.e. the breakfast club). My favorite class year was art. I loved it. Some of my favorite books/stories are Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, The Phantom of The Opera, and Alice In Wonderland. If I could go anywhere it would be to go to Germany, Italy, Russia, Sweden..i enjoy traveling.

My career goals are to have a job to help and support my family. I’m not sure what career I want to have but I wish to have a job or career to support my family. After high school my goals are to go to a four year college and then master in some degree. In the next 10 years I see myself finishing college and finding a job. I plan to get there by studying hard in school and doing the best I can.
I would consider myself a semi social person because I have a lot of friends but I’m not that out going. I am most proud of being Colombian because Colombia is the third best in soccer in the world. In my free time I like playing sports because I like spending time with my friends while I play. I’m involved in chess club, biology club, and Spanish club. My hobbies are playing sports, fishing, and swimming.
My favorite thing about school is learning new things everyday. My least favorite thing about school is that it takes too long. My favorite class was gym because all the rest of my classes were boring. My most recent language arts course was 8th grade honors. My favorite book is Son by Lois Lowry because I liked how it was adventurous and how the story kept changing point of views. My least favorite book was Maniac Magee. I most like to read nonfiction books.
If I could go anywhere, I would go to Rio De Janiro. I learn the most when the teacher teaches more visually. I learn the most when I see what I’m learning. After high school, I will probably go to college. My ideal job would be working at a large corporation. Three adjectives others might use to describe me are smart, athletic, and nice. My definition of language arts is learning language.

  3. My goals for the future are to become a successful lawyer. After high school I plan to go to a law school and eventually work in that field. Five to ten years from now I can see myself working at my dream job, and owning a house in a good area. I plan on achieving this by working hard and being as successful as possible. I don’t consider myself a social person. I’d rather not talk to people if I don’t have to. I am most proud of my academic achievements. I used to get all B’s and then I realized that I could achieve much more. So I began to study harder and take better notes, in the end it paid off. In my free time I enjoy playing video games. I like playing them because you can be and do anything you want. I am involved in soccer and I plan on playing basketball and softball. My hobbies are shooting and fishing, I find them a lot of fun.
My favorite thing about school is seeing my friends. My least favorite thing about school is the work, it piles up and eventually consumes my life and I can’t even hang out with my friends. My favorite class so far this year is art. I like it because it’s something new and I like to draw although I am bad at it. My most recent language arts course was Mrs. Stanley. My favorite book is Maze Runner, I recently read this book. I loved the descriptions and the plot of the book. I don’t know which book is my least favorite; I only remember reading good books. My favorite category to read about is Sci-Fi.
If I could go anywhere I would go to England. I would go there because I’ve always wanted to see all the sights and listen to everyone’s accents. I learn the most when the teacher specifies details with me about what we are doing. I learn the most when I study and do my best to understand the topic. After high school, I will probably go to college. My Ideal job would be a lawyer. I love arguing will people so it would come naturally. Three adjectives others would use to describe me are tall, funny, and white. My definition of language arts is the study of literature and language.

There is a lot about me that people don’t know. I have a unique personality. Firstly, I have many goals in life and different personality. Also, I have my own attitude toward school and my educational background is another unique trait about me. Last yet not least, my favorite quality about myself is my writing ability. I am my own person but I enjoy being who I am.
To start off with, I have many goals in life and a very unique personality. For instance, my goals in life are toward many different yet important things in life. Firstly, my career goal in life is to become a Pediatric Oncologist. This is for many reasons. The most important reason in my eyes is because my older sister Brittni died of cancer at the age of two. I know what it feels like to have someone you love leave you from “The Big ‘C’,” so I want to help out and try to stop cancer from ruining other families and breaking other people’s hearts. Secondly, after high school, I am planning and hopefully will go straight to college. I try my best in school at this current moment so I do believe that I will get into a good college, however I know for a fact that from having a family member working at the famous Kean University College, I can get into there for free. Lastly, in the next 5-10 years I can see myself with a nice man who treats me very well and living in California with my dream career of being a Pediatric Oncologist. I plan on getting to do all of these things by doing well in school and trying my best in succeeding what my goals are. Moving forward, my personality and my personal interests and very unique. For starters, I am a very socially active person. I love to communicate to other people and see how many other people have a relatable or completely different life style of my own. Continuing on, I am very proud of myself for many things. I am proud of myself for being the person I am and never giving into what others say about me. I am proud to know how strong of a person I am and to know that whatever happens in life, I look at the bright side and keep the words, “Everything happens for a reason,” in my mind. Next, I like to do many things on my free time. I love to do Mixed Martial Arts, sing, read and write. I do these things to get all of the stress and the drama that’s in my life out of my mind and it helps me escape my reality.
To add on, my I have a very unique attitude toward school and a unique educational background. First off, my favorite thing about school is getting to see my friends and just to know that I am learning something new every day. However, my least favorite thing about school is all of the drama and rumors that get spread about my close friends or even my-self throughout the year. Next, my favorite class from last year would have to be Writing Lab. I loved this class because of the way that Mr. Lowenburg made the class interesting and his work ethnics helped my-self grow in my writing skills. Also, my most recent Language Arts course in English I with Mr. Boyle. My favorite book would have to be, “Butterfly,” by Sonya Hartnett. I mostly like to read fictional stories that help me become more creative and help me learn and really

  5. think about life and how mystical it really is. I also just love to have different things to believe in even if it’s 100% impossible just because it helps keep the kid in me and helps me escape the real world when I’m down and I just need to get away from reality.
To finish off with, I really enjoy and love my personal writing ability. I usually try to ask myself things before I write because it helps me learn more about myself and it helps me have an idea on what to write about. For instance, if I could go anywhere, I would go to Puerto Rico because that is where my whole dad’s side grew up and I would really like to learn about my family and our culture. Also, I learn the most when the teacher sits one on one with me and evaluates all of my tests and projects and tells me what I can do to become better. After high school, I will probably go straight to college because I want to become a Pediatric Oncologist and that takes many years of college so the earlier I go to college, the better it will be for me. My ideal job is to become a Pediatric Oncologist for reasons that I have already stated. Three adjectives I would use to describe myself would most likely be fun, short, and different.
To tie all together, I am a very unique person. To begin with, I have many goals and my personal information is very different. To add on, my attitude toward school and my educational background is something that not a lot of people know about me. Lastly, my writing ability is what I personally favor about myself. As you can see, I am very unique and not a lot of people know who I personally am.

  6. So, it has finally come, the first days of school where I tell the teachers all about me, to tell you the truth, I enjoy it. Well, here it goes…

As a kid, I spent a lot of time contemplating what I wanted to do when I grew up, but nowadays, I have finally decided at trying my luck as an actor. Last year in DHS’s musical, “Damn Yankees” I had a ton of fun acting, singing, and dancing with the rest of the cast, and I also took pleasure in making the audience laugh. However, I do plan to go to college, I just don’t know where yet. However, in the next five to ten years, I hope to I hope to establish a secure future for me and my future family through getting above average grades in High School and College.

I don’t really consider myself a social person, due to that I don’t enjoy meeting new people, and don’t say a lot to most that I do know. As I’ve gone through school, the thing I’m most proud of are the quality of my grades so far, which I hope to keep up. In my free time, I tend to play my instruments, browse the Internet, or play Minecraft. I also enjoy the activities I’m involved in, that being drama, choir, the bands, and Madrigals. My hobbies include playing the trumpet, Interneting, playing chess, and slaving over my school work.

My favorite thing about school is being surrounded by people with common interests as yourself. My least favorite thing about school are all the annoying people I have to deal with throughout the day. My favorite class last year was choir because I enjoy singing and the wonderful person and director Ms. Piano is was a big plus.

My most recent language course was Spanish. If I was forced to choose, my favorite book series would be “Quantum Prophecy”. My least favorite book would have to be “Where the Wild Things Are” seriously, what was the author thinking!? I most like to read fiction stories, being that they can take you anywhere you want in the world.
If I could go anywhere, I would probably go to London, England, they have a rich culture there, and I don’t have to learn a whole other language to communicate with the locals. I learn most when my teacher takes the time to explain the subject at hand rather than rush through the class. After high school, I will probably go to college, which one is still yet to be determined. Three adjectives people would use to describe me are: tall, funny, and fabulous. My ideal job would probably have to be an actor, as I love to fill the persona of other people, and love to make an audience laugh, cry, and applaud. My definition of language arts is a class where we study the art of the written word, and explore its boundaries and wonders.

  7. Hello, my name is Erick Lescano. When I grow up, I would like to work for Windows or Apple and help make computers. After completing high school, I would like to go to college and get a master’s degree in computer programming. I would prefer to go to Princeton University. If I can’t, then I’ll go to Rutgers. In about 9 years I’ll be done with school and be able to go out into the real world. But to get there, I’ll need to work hard in high school and college. It’ll be a tough road, but it’ll be worth it in the end.
I don’t really consider myself a social person, but don’t get me wrong, I still do have friends, just not that many. I have always been a bit shy, but I have been to overcome it in the last few years. The thing I’m most proud of would have to be me getting honor roll the 4th marking period in 8th grade. Only four people got it, and I was proud to know I was one of them. In my free time I enjoy reading a book or playing video games. Reading has always been one of my hobbies ever since 2nd grade. Not only has it helped me English and Writing Lab, but it also has given me some creativity. Video games have always been an entertaining pastime for me. They have also given great hand-eye coordination and my amazing handwriting. I didn’t really do and extra-curricular activities in middle school, but I plan to do a few in high school, such as joining French club and Biology club as well as joining track in the spring. I can tell I’m going to have an awesome first year of high school.
My favorite thing about school would probably be the extra-curricular activities. They can be a great way to make new friends as well as learn new skills. I can’t wait to join a few of them soon! My least favorite thing in school is hands down the homework. Frankly, I feel they give students way too much homework in high school and college. Sometimes it’s just too overwhelming. My favorite class last year was Algebra. I had a great time learning new ways to solve complicated problems. Math has always been my favorite subject and hopefully still will be for the next few years.
My most recent language arts course was English Honors in 8th grade. It was an interesting class and I had a blast reading the short stories and novels. My favorite book would have to be Insurgent by Veronica Roth, the sequel to Divergent. I personally find the plot of the story very intriguing. It has elements of both a love story and action. I enjoyed every single page of it and I can’t wait for the final book to come out. My favorite type of genre would probably be a three way tie action, adventure, and sci-fi. Honestly, I just live reading and tend to enjoy every single one I read, which is why I don’t have a least favorite book.
If I could go anywhere, I would go to Europe to visit either Paris or London. They are both two famous cities and I would love to visit them in the future. I could be able to communicate with most people considering I know English and speak a bit French. I learn the most when the teacher teaches the subject thoroughly and have fun while doing it. I don’t a teacher who doesn’t enjoy their job. What’s the point of having a job that you don’t even like? I learn the most when I pay attention to the teacher and understand the material being taught. After high school, I will probably go on to college to further my education in order to get a high-paying job. My ideal job would be programming computers because I love to use computers and would like to find out how they work. Three adjectives other people use to describe are short, intelligent, and kind. My definition of language arts is reading stories and then analyzing their themes and messages the author tries to convey.

  8. My one main career goal is to rescue animals for a living. My educational goals for high school are to get good grades and graduate with my class. Caring and loving animals is my passion and so I see myself 5-10 years from now rescuing animals. I plan to get to this spot by going to college and taking a course for animals. For example, how to care for’ special need’ animals and things such as in the medical field. What I meanly want to do is hands on going in and taking the animals out of bad environments’ and also animals that are abused and neglected. I sometimes am a really social person to people I know. Sometimes to other people too but I’m often shy. I am most proud of how I treat other people. In my opinion I don’t think I have a single mean bone in my body so it’s really easy for people to walk all over me. On my free time I enjoy talking and spending time with my family. As I got older and more mature it’s a lot easier for us to talk. Right now I’m not involved with any extracurricular activities but what I’m a junior or a senior I would like to become a peer leader. One of my hobbies I do is reading and sometimes play tennis.

My favorite thing about school is switching from class to class cause we all moving unlike in classes where we are sitting down. I don’t like siting and staying still for too long. My least favorite thing about school would have to be all the homework. My favorite class last year would have to be Language Arts because Mrs. Stanly (the Language Arts teacher) is my favorite teacher of all time. She is so sweet and probably the cutest little thing. I can sometimes vent to Mrs. Stanley and I would always make her laugh.

My most recent language course was last year. My favorite book would have to be ‘The hungry hungry Caterpillar ‘. I loved this book because I liked how as they told the story of what he ate there was a picture of whatever he ate in the page with a hole in it. Plus, it had a happy ending. I mostly like to read love stories because it gives you a picture of how true love is and I love the little fairytales that come with it.If I could go anywhere, I would go to Hawaii. I would go here mostly because I would love to relax and let loose. Plus, from the pictures Hawaii looks so beautiful. I learn the most when the teacher talks and while she is writing talks about what she is writing and explains everything so I would be able to understand. I learn the most when I’m not around people that I talk to because if I am all I do is talk and get in trouble. Plus, I would leave the class totally clueless. After high school I will probably go to college if everything works out well. My ideal job would be to rescue animals. Thee adjectives to describe me would have to be outgoing, fun, and all around good person.

My career goals are to go far in life and become successful. I would like to make a lot of money and have a nice house and car. My educational goals after high school are to go to college. In the next 5-10 years I see myself either playing soccer or working in a dentist office or maybe doing something with the FBI. What I do to plan where I want to go in the next 5-10 years is to try hard in high school and get good grades.
    Personal Information:
I consider myself a very social person because I have a lot of friends and I like meeting new people. In my free time I like to play soccer, hang out with friends, or sleep. The extracurricular activity I’m involved in is soccer. My hobbies are playing soccer, and hanging out with friends.

  10. Hello my name is Destiny Lightfoot. My career goals are that I wish to be a fashion designer and if not then I would like to be a nurse in a hospital to help out the kids in need, I would work in The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. There are a lot of children there that have many health problems and I love working with kids. My educational goals after high school are that I would like to go to a 4 year college and get both my masters and bachelor’s degree. What I see myself doing in the next five to ten years is that I see myself in college and studying to be a fashion designer or nurse and graduating from college, having a job in what I studied for. How I plan to get where I want to be in five to ten years from now is study, graduate, have a degree, and have a job in what I desire.
I consider myself a half and half kind of person when it comes to being a social person. What I mean by this is that in some situations I’m very shy and in other situations I’m more outgoing and talkative. I’m very social with close friends and others that I don’t talk to that much I’m shy around and also when I meet new people I’m shy around them as well. What I am most proud of is my achievements in school such as my grades and having the friends that I have. What I enjoy doing in my free time is watch TV because sometimes when I want to be left alone I just go sit in front of the TV and just tune everything out. I watch investigation shows, TLC and on this channel I watch “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Little Couple”, I also watch Disney, nickelodeon, and ABCFamily. I have many hobbies such as drawing, painting, sketching. I also like hanging out with my friends and playing with little kids, and reading books on fashion.
I like a lot of things about school such as being with my friends and learning new things that I like, but my favorite thing about school would have to be meeting new people that I haven’t talked to before and also being with my friends. There are so many things I dislike about school such as some of the people, but my top least favorite thing about school would have to be waking up at five in the morning for school which is at seven forty in the morning. My favorite class last year would have to be French because we did so many fun things in there and Madame Thorne always makes us laugh.
My most recent language arts course was last year in eighth grade with Mrs. Stanley and Mr. Lowenberg. My favorite book/story is “The perks of being a wallflower” because it tells about the same struggles and issues some teenagers have.

  11. Who am I?
    Who am I?
I don't even know where to start with you!
Who am I. Shmeh. How don't you know who I am?
Maybe I should play your bloody games. Who knows? Explaining who I am to an unknown source might turn out to be fun.
But must I degradate myself to such degrading means of humor and entertainment?
Such is the life of I, I suppose.
So let’s get back to the question at hand here. Who am I? A better question would be why am I doing this.
Well, the answer to the second question is easy. You see, I have been nulled myself to the confines of a public high school, and this is one of my God awful assignments.
Why am I here? Perhaps for my own sanity. Perhaps to just get the taste of what so many others have to deal with. Perhaps. But alas, not even I know the answer as to why I am here.
I mean, right now, I can be fullfiling me goals of going into the NHL. Or writing for the New York Times. Or even being within the cockpit of a fully stocked bomber on it’s way to give my enemy’s a nice little parting gift.
But no. I am trapped within the concrete wall of a high school. A High School.
Perhaps after I’m out of here I can go to Michigan State. Maybe play on their hockey team.
Perhaps, yes. But within 5-10 years, I hope to be on with my life in that very college playing hockey and trying to get my degree in journalism.
But just how do I plan to do this? Simple. Just blend in with the rest of this drab
high school crowd and hopefully, just hopefully, be able to acquire that covenant scholarship us high schoolers find so amazing.
But enough of that. I don’t normally do this, you see. I find myself a social person. I am not usually behind the screen of a computer with a whole world of information at my whim. No, I go out, hang with my ‘friends’ and drink the acid called Coke us humans are so fond of ingesting. That is not something I am terribly proud of.
But I am proud how I led my old youth hockey team to the State finals, only to be shot down by the Bears.
    A sad, sad day…
But I have learned from that day. Ever since, I spend my free time training. Whether it be football or hockey training, I am always trying to get better.
But try as I must, I just cant seem to go that extra mile. I am stuck in a rut, It seems.
My hobbies do not help me, I have found. Playing hockey or football just seem to get me more and more depressed.
May we continue on the topic towards my education?
Wait, I forgot this is a completely one sided conversation, as it seems you do not have a voice! Hazaa!

I do have to say, though. Though how dreaded High School may be, I do enjoy the teachers. They are the few people I am able to actually hold a conversation with. Besides Holden Caulfield, (Yes, I love The Catcher And The Rye).
Well, It seems like that is all the time I have to play your games today. I am terribly sorry if I haven’t answered all your petty questions.
But then again, what do I care?

I appreciate that you made the assignment your own - it shows me what your imagination is capable of as a writer. The most successful portion of this is the consistency in the nearly condescending tone (I see a Holden influence here).

My A-plan is to get great grades in school win the history award next couple years and graduate high school. Then I plan to go to Rutgers and take engineering class and become building engineer. My B-plan is the same as my A-plan except in college I plan to major in teaching. I see myself graduating high school and college and becoming an engineer or history teacher. I do think I am a social person I friends with almost everyone and talk and make a lot of conversations. What I am most proud of is make every honor roll since 4th grade. What I enjoy in my free time is reading history books and hanging out with my friends. Why because it’s fun hanging out with my friends and reading history books is my favorite thing because history is my favorite subject. I am involved in many extracurricular activities. For example I am a guard, tackle, and rover on the Dunellen football team my number is 55. I am also in boy scouts and first class going on star. My hobbies are sports, chess, reading history books.
I have a great attitude toward school. My favorite thing about school is football, writing, mostly history. My least favorite thing about school is getting up early because I am so tired in the morning. Also having homework because by the time you get dune you have to go to bed. My favorite class last year was and still is history. It was my favorite class because I love history.
My most recent language arts course with Ms.Stanley , writing with Mr. Lownberg. My favorite story is the upstairs room. It’s my favorite because it deals with WW2. I don’t have a least favorite book. I don’t because I love books. What I like learning and reading about the most is history, mostly WW2. If I could go anywhere I would go visit pearl Harbor. I learn the most when the teacher is teaching. I learn the most when I am focus. After high school I will go to college. My ideal job would be an engineer. In my freetime I like to workout, sleep, and go out with my friends. The extracurricular activities that I participate in are football, chess, and track.

My favorite thing about school is getting to hang out with my friends. My least favorite thing about school are my classes. My favorite class last year was computer apps. It was my favorite class because it was fun, it did not require me to do homework, the teacher was cool, and it was pretty easy.

My most recent language arts course was English II with Mr. Maccarthy last year. My favorite book is The Lightning Thief because it was fun to read, and there is a movie based on it, so I had the opportunity to see it in a whole new way. My least favorite book is The Checklist Manifesto. I had to read it for my freshman year English Class and it was the most long and boring book i have ever read.

If I could go anywhere, I would go to Hawaii. I learn the most when the teacher is nice. I learn the most when I like the teacher, and get enough sleep. After high school, I will probably go to college and have some fun there. My ideal job would be one where I can make a good living, but still enjoy it. Three adjectives people might use to describe me are fun, outgoing, and smart. My definition of language arts is using a language in a way that it seems like an art form.

  14. Introduction 9/8/2013
    Tyler Medina
In the future I want to be a UFC fighter. My educational goals after high school are to start studying and training to become a better fighter for the future. In the next 5-10 years, I see myself in college training with a highly respected martial arts instructor. Also I see myself financially stable and being able to support myself well when I get out of college. To get to where I want to be in the next 5-10 years, I plan to continue my wrestling career in school to increase my experience and endurance in fighting, and I also plan to search for other businesses where I can learn the different types of combat I can learn in order for me to be successful in my UFC career.

I consider myself a social person, because I have a large quantity of friends of various ages and different towns. I am proud of what I have done in my wrestling performance, being able to go from a junior varsity level to a varsity level and still being new to the sport. In my free time I enjoy either talking or spending time with my friends, or I also like to play a video game called Minecraft on my computer. I enjoy doing these things because I like to be entertained when I have a chance and doing these things is very entertaining and enjoyable to me. The extracurricular activities I am involved in are baseball, and wrestling. Although I like to get out and get active, I don’t have any hobbies.

My favorite thing about school is being able to be challenged and learn from mistakes or from achievements. My least favorite thing about school is having to get to classes at a specific time and if you aren’t, you have consequences, although it teaches us to be more responsible for ourselves, I don’t like it to be honest. My favorite class last year was gym. It was gym because, I have athletic abilities and I enjoy using them. Such as playing volleyball, or Frisbee, or going in the weight room. I like getting active and getting a good work out so gym class provides those things for me.

My most recent language arts course was with Mrs. Stanley, in the eighth grade. My favorite book was by S.E Hinton, it was called That Was Then This Is Now, and the story line really caught my attention within the first few pages. My least favorite book was called Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, I never had interest in what was going on in the story. I most like to learn about wolves, I am extremely interested in those animals, they are very social creatures and they have the ability to use their senses to accomplish extraordinary things. And I happen to find them to be one of the most beautiful creatures in the world.

If I could go anywhere I would want to go to the earth when dinosaurs ruled the earth. I learn most when the teacher compares the lesson to something I have used in my life or understand. I learn most when I am in an angry or sad mood, I don’t know why but I focus more for some reason. After high school, I will probably get a job. My ideal job would be a carpenter. Three adjectives others might use to describe me are strange, funny, and tough. My definition of language arts is just the understanding of English language through literature.

When I’m older, I want my career to be somewhere in music. I really enjoy singing and writing my own music. I would probably start off by writing my own music and maybe sing it as well. Singing with my friends is something that I really look forward to every time we chill. First, I will have to graduate high school if I ever decide to get into music. Hopefully I will be writing music in 5 - 10 years. If not, I’m going to become a teacher. I would really like to teach high school students. I plan to get to where I want to get by working very hard now since I’m still young and have time.
Yes, I consider myself a social person because I love to talk with everyone I get to meet. I’m the type of person who tries to not be shy so I could leave a great impression. I am most proud of the fact that I changed my ways in and out of school. I now try very hard in school because I am much focused on my future now more than I ever was. During my free time I love to sing R&B music. I love to make covers of different songs. If I’m not singing, I’m playing soccer or running. Being active is something I always have to be. One extracurricular activity I’m involved in is Madrigals choir. I would consider soccer and running my hobbies because I’m usually doing either one of these.
My favorite thing about school is the fact I get to be with all my friends that I didn’t get to see over the summer. I hardly had any free time over the summer since I was busy almost every single day or I just wasn’t in New Jersey. My least favorite thing about school is homework. I really despise homework because it gives me less free time at the end of the day. My favorite class last year was my English class. I had such a fun time every day. I got to be in a class with one of my best friends and I was also very interested in the short stories we would read throughout the year. Plus the class was small so I really enjoyed that.
My most recent language arts course was English II that I took last year. I had it during 2nd period. My favorite book is the Great Gatsby. I really enjoyed the novel because it was something very mysterious and very entertaining. I loved everything about the book. The whole story was pretty dramatic and very action filled. I don’t have a book that I dislike the most. I really enjoy reading and learning about poetry. I consider people who write poetry very talented. I consider every type of music poetry. It’s just something that always entertains me.
If I could go anywhere, I would go to Estadio Santiago Bernabeau, Real Madrid’s home soccer stadium. The stadium is enormous and very modern. The fans are very passionate for the team. I would have a lot of fun seeing a game there. I learn the most when the teacher makes the class really fun. I love it when the teacher gets close to you like she’s your friend. I learn the most when I get really into the material. I sometimes find stuff quite interesting when I relate it to my life. After high school, I will probably go to college or try to continue my song writing. I want to continue with music. My ideal job would be working in a music studio with a popular artist. I would love to help them make songs. Writing and produced would be really sweet. Three adjectives others might use to describe me are smart, musically influenced, and social. My definition of language arts is English and writing put together into one whole subject.

My career goals are becoming a detective. I really enjoy solving crimes and watching documentaries about crimes and mysteries. My educational goals after high school are going to college. I want to continue on with my education & study for my future career. In the next 5-10 years, I plan on going to college then graduated. After that, I see myself living my dream come true. This would be a major accomplishment for me. To get to where I want to be in 5-10 years, I really have to work hard. This will have to take a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication. I need to go to college, and stay focused on my studies.
I would consider myself a social person. I like to meet new people & make new friends. I’m always up for a conversation with somebody that I don’t know yet. I am most proud of my soccer accomplishments up to this point. I am proud of getting my grades up recently after having a couple of years of bad habits. This shows that if you put your mind to anything, anything is possible to achieve. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports and enjoying my day. This helps me get my mind off of things that cause stress & problems. The extracurricular activities that I am involved in are soccer and track. I play soccer apart from the school with Plainfield & I do track as part of the Dunellen schools. I really enjoying doing both, and I also plan on becoming better and better at each of them. My hobbies include sports, and listening to music. These both help me as a person & help my mind.
My favorite thing about school is getting to learn a new thing each and every day that I step through those doors. I am trying to take as much advantage of my education as much as I can at the moment. I also enjoy getting to see all of my friends and having a good time with them when I can. My least favorite thing about school is getting too much stress and pressure to complete all my work and be ready for all tests and quizzes. My favorite class last year was math. It was because I enjoyed seeing improvement in work. Last year, my math grades got a lot better and I am very proud of that.
My most recent language arts course was 8th grade English with Mrs. Stanley. I really enjoyed that class last year. My favorite book is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. That is my favorite because it tells a great & fascinating story written by a legendary author. I liked the fact that the plot had great development as well. My least favorite book/story is Tangerine by Edward Bloor. I like to most read and learn about is mysteries and crimes. This topic interests me a lot & it goes with my, hopefully, future career.
If I could go anywhere I would go to Europe. I would want to go there because there is many countries & attractions to visit in that certain part of the world. I learn the most when the teacher explains things a lot more. It helps me understand things a lot better when examples are used as well. After high school, I will probably go to college. This will help me learn about my future career. This is basically a mandatory for my future job. I will need to work very hard when I get to college. My ideal job would be being a detective. It has been my dream for a while, and I hope to one day finally achieve this dream. Three adjectives that others might use to describe me are kind, funny, and athletic. My definition of language arts is the study of the English language. Language arts deals with concepts such as practicing different styles of writing to read many different stories, novels, and prompts.

    1. Whenever anyone mentions detectives I can't help but to picture Sherlock Holmes, but in all seriousness I think that would be a very interesting career. No wonder you are drawn to mystery novels since they provide training of sorts in solving crimes. I used to exclusively read RL Stine mysteries in middle school and by the second year of this trend I was able to successfully predict most endings (not that real life crime is exactly life fiction).

  17. My career goals is become a restaurateur and to have a very prestigious restaurant. My educational goals after school is to go culinary arts school so I could study how do the thing that I need to do in order to have a successful restaurant. What I see myself doing in this next five to ten years is probably still going to culinary school and bout to open my own restaurant. I plan on doing this in the next five to ten years is devoting myself to really strive to become a restaurateur.
Sometimes I can become a social person then other times I just want to sit in the house all day. I am most proud of being able to say that I am not a kid doing stupid stuff. What I like to do in my free time is I go to the park to play basketball, playing video games, hanging out because it is fun to do all that stuff. I am involved in football.
My favorite thing about school is gym class because you just have to participate in the activities that you’re doing. My least favorite thing about school is when school starts because that is really early. My favorite class last year was art because I got to express myself by drawing and painting.
My most recent language arts course was English 3 with where we learn about early English lit and read some of William Shakespeare’s plays. My favorite book would have to be the outsiders because I still remember what happened in that book and I liked the storyline of the book. My least favorite book would be the old man and the sea because I just think that book is really long about a man wanting to catch a marlin. I like to learn about history because I can say where things happened or how they happened and I think that it is exciting to learn about the history of the world.
If I could go anywhere I would go to Hawaii because I would like to go there one day and visit there.
I learn the most when the teacher explains something on the board so I could see it.
I learn the most when I can see what is actually going on.
After high school I will probably go to culinary school.
My ideal job would to be a restaurateur when I’m older.
Three adjectives people might use to describe me would be quiet nice and charming.
My definition of language arts is learning about new ways to use English words and how to use proper grammar.

  18. As a young child I always dreamed of a job that would allow me to help people in need. Recently I have discovered the fulfilling job that fits that description where I can also make a living off of doing what I dream. This job is physical therapy. To become a physical therapist I have to study hard and work even harder in high school and college. In four to five years I see myself in college studying with a major related to the field of work I pursue. With the right amount of determination and passion I can achieve my goal by working to the best of my ability towards making this special dream of mine come true.
I think it would be safe to say that I am a very active person. I enjoy playing all sorts of physical activities such as basketball, football, volleyball, track, tennis and more. During my free time when I am not reading I engage in jogging and playing basketball outside my house. These can also fall under the category of hobbies that I have since they take up most of my time. When in season I take part in extracurricular activities like basketball, track, and Spanish club. These activities keep me occupied and give me a more intense sense of urgency for school.
If I could go anywhere I would travel to England. There are a few reasons why I would take a trip to this beautiful country over all others. For on I have never been to England and I for one love their proper and more mature way of life. I adore how quiet and peaceful the English people seem. Obviously traced back most of our American cultures branched off from England and those of Great Britain. Also over all else the top reason I would love to venture to England is because of their proper manner of speaking. The English we use today is so corrupted with slang and chopped up words, it would be nice to hear it correctly for once.

    1. England was one of the best countries I have traveled to, and while I understand what you mean about propriety and culture in Great Britain, they do have their share of slang (most of which are incomprehensible to Americans). Language is one of those entities that evolves with use - we use words differently than people before us, words are added and go out of style. Shakespeare himself is credited with inventing hundreds of words in the English language. However, having said the above, I can listen to the British talk all day because I enjoy the cadence of their speech.

  19. My main career goal is to be able to be an astronaut. All I ever wanted was to go in space, see what it is like in an anti-gravity environment. But there are also dangers I am willing to put aside to get my career goal. The danger of a meteor hitting the space ship or one of the suns radioactive rays hitting us, but I am going to do it anyway. I plan to go to college for astronomy, science, and engineer, because I think that’s what I need to successfully achieve my goal in life. I see myself being the first person to find something or set foot no other man has like the other planets.
Some personal information about me is that I am a social person, I have a lot of friends and I do try to treat everyone with respect. I treat everyone equally, in my eyes it doesn’t matter what you look like. In my free time I tend to hang out with my friends and family over the internet. So there’s not much I do in my spare time. But, over the summer I did a lot of things, mostly family related stuff. I’m proud of being able to get in high school and becoming a freshman, because last year I struggled with a lot of stuff along the way. I first came to Dunellen during like the 3rd marking period so I was a little disoriented but I made it through.
To me I don’t like school, I really do but I have to live with it to get ahead of life. I like science, and math I find those two subjects my easiest to work with. What I hate the most is I guess history, I find it very boring and I can hardly keep awake. Other years I liked history then it started to get boring learning the same thing over and over again. Every other class I can deal with just some classes I have a hard time staying awake to. Sometimes I think we really don’t need these classes just science and math everything else seems like I won’t need anytime soon. I like how I can see all my friends there but sometimes I wish we didn’t have to learn it can just be a place to hang out. But it is what it is and there’s nothing I can do to change it.
I’m not a reading person but I will read if I have to, I can’t just sit there I start to get irritated, just being in a quiet room with no sound will make me go insane. What I recently read over the summer was “To Kill a Mockingbird”; it was a very good book especially at the end. It was good book, I recommend it for everyone. There weren’t any books I read that seemed to disappoint, maybe because I don’t read a lot but overall there’s nothing I can think of that was bad.

I myself do not have many.
But my main goal is to be successful.
Whether it be a vet, a doctor, or lawyer, I haven’t found that yet.
In my high school career I plan to be successful in both grades and social life.
I don’t know where I’ll be in 5-10 years from now.
But I know I’ll be enjoying life.

I definitely consider myself a social person.
After school I’m either with friends or at football practice.
I very proud that I found that I had the capability to push myself through an entire summer of intense training of football practice.
In my free time I’m either playing basketball with my friends or playing video games.
When im not at football or with friends I love the hobby of airsofting, it’s something I enjoy very much.

My favorite thing about school honestly is being around my friends.
My least favorite thing about school is be around the opposite of my friends.
I enjoy math class the most since I’ve been good at it ever since it could remember
But over all I enjoy being at school.

I was recently in a 8th grade language arts class with my teacher mrs.Stanley.
Going into that class I had to read a summer reading book.
That book was the outsiders it is now my favorite book.
My least favorite book to read was tangerine.
In my opinion it was not a good book.
I like to read short stories that are very creative and fictional.

I would go to Dubai since it’s the richest country in the world and its super awesome.
I learn the most from my teacher when she uses a PowerPoint presentation
I learn the most when they let us work with partners.
After high school I would probably go to college and learn about I decide to learn about.
Right now I don’t have an ideal job in mind but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

  21. My career goal is to become a pharmacist because I heard they earn a lot of money and you never know I could find a cure to get rid of cancer once and for all. It will take a lot of hard work to become a pharmacist but I will have to get past those obstacles and really focus on my education. I would like to work with all kinds of medicine that there are and helping people is what I would like to do. Hopefully I will accomplish this dream of mine in the near future and I will be so proud of myself. It will take intelligence and responsibility to handle this job just as many other jobs and I have what it takes to become a great pharmacist. My educational goal after high school is well, of course graduate from high school and get into an excellent college. What I see myself doing in the next 5-10 years is living a wonderful life and to use all my knowledge which I learned in school in to this world. I am not those type of people who after high school apply for a job at Mcdonalds or Burger King and not get that much of a salary. That is not a good road to follow. I plan to get where I want to be in the next 5-10 years by getting a fine car such as a Ferrari.
I would consider myself a social person because I think it’s a great experience in life but sometimes school would come first in my mind. What I am most proud of is getting this far in high school. I remember myself being in the kindergarten know I can’t believe where I am now it’s just such an incredible journey. What I enjoy during free time is going out to play soccer sometimes I might just stay in and relax but this is what I do. The reason why is because soccer is such an entertaining sport to me and I have lots of fun playing it. Some extracurricular activities that I do for fun are play video games when I got nothing to do which is a normal thing. It’s fun when I’m on my ps3 playing entertaining games it gets my mind off other things. My hobbies are playing and watching soccer, out with friends, home, and playing with my pet bird.

    1. My favorite thing about school is that you learn many new valuable lessons that you haven’t learned yet. School is also a place where you might have a favorite subject and you enjoy it. My least favorite thing about school is probably reading because I’m not that much of a reader unless it’s an awesome book. For example, when I was a little boy I read a book of a very hungry caterpillar that just ate and ate. That book I still remember to this day, it was some good times indeed. Last year my favorite class was science because I was just so good at it and I never knew I was good at physical science which was taught by Mr. Downey. I wonder what he could be doing right now.
My most recent language arts course was 8th grade with Mrs. Stanley who I think is a sweet person and cares for our education. My favorite book would probably have to be the Harry Potter series I thought they were all great books. Those books just create suspense which I like and Harry going through wild adventures and facing the main antagonist Lord Voldemart. In my opinion I like the movies better than reading it in book form, just saying. What I like to learn about is new things and just getting interested in new lessons.
If I could go anywhere I would want to go to Barcelona, Spain because it is the home of my favorite soccer team Fc Barcelona. It would be a total blast going there I would first visit their stadium and if I’m lucky even watch a live soccer game of Fc Barcelona against their arch-rivals Real Madrid. I learn the most when the teacher explains everything in a good way and I just want to keep learning more. I learn the most when I am totally focused with what the teacher is saying but I know I’m an excellent student with great attitude. After high school, I will go to college and from there live my life. My ideal job would be as said in the first paragraph to become a pharmacist and help the good people of our world. Three adjectives other might use to describe me would be friendly, funny when I’m with my friends, and a passionate student. My definition of language arts would be great because in the future you’re going to need it.

  23. “Faith without work is dead.” Is a famous quote from the bible is a quote that pretty much describes my life. “Jumbo” (which means welcome in the African language) my name is Landin Xavier Sadat Morris, you can chose to call me either Landin or Xavier (but I preferred to be called Xavier). All my life I have always been a determined, and hard working in all the decisions I make, and in all of the things that I do, this includes inside and outside of school. I honestly do believe from my prospective, that I do try hard, and I’m not easily discouraged. I do believe that all of these characteristic traits that I have will really help me through my first year in High School. I have so many goals to reach this year.
One of them to finally becoming organized. The main reason why I want to become organized is because it helps me everywhere. I feel like if I wasn’t so cluttered and messy, I would be able to get more things done, and it will allow me to move faster as well. I would also want to conquer my issues with Math. I have never really had an extreme issue with learning a subject, besides Math. Just thinking about it too much and I become irritable, and frustrated. Once I finally get both of those out of the way, I can finally focus on getting A’s and B’s in all classes, and from there getting into the honors society and getting into higher ranked classes. I know I can do it because I have done it before. But it always seems like Math is the subject that is holding me back. I have been raised and taught that having an education is very important in this society, therefore, I try my best to my grades as high as possible, and honestly, to me that is the best part of school. My least favorite thing about the school is all the homework. The average teen would say that their favorite part of school is being with their friends, meeting new people, and being able to be social and communicate with one another. I can be the same way but then again I can be very quiet and to myself in the same way as well. I have always been an independent person, and I’m not afraid to separate myself from the crowd if I feel like I have for any reason what so even. But if I were to rate myself on being social on a scale from one to ten, I would be a 5, because I’m balanced out in an area like this in particular

    1. Last year when I was in seventh grade I use to love having English and writing lab, they are my two favorite subjects and I can’t pick between the two. I enjoyed English because I got to read different types of books that I found some interest in. Another reason I enjoyed being in writing class was because in English class, whatever we read about, or whatever we did, we got to express our opinions and thoughts about. Speaking my mind, and letting thoughts out, helps me listen to other people’s ideas as well. I found interest in writing lab because I could take information and tricks from what I read in English class and out them into my writing. We also expressed writing and interest in writing lab as well. The two classes come in hand in hand, and I’m looking forward to both writing and English class this year too. I personally like books that have action. What I mean be action is basically stuff that I can relate to. Not extraordinary stuff, but regular everyday stuff that builds and cases problems. Basic, but action, and drama filled stuff I can relate to. A good example of this is “The Outsiders” by S.E Hinton. This book was my favorite book, it had interest and pop ups, and it had that action and drama, that help my attention so, I stop watching TV and I sit down and just read for as long as I can. Being that I am a strong read, and have interest in reading, I have a very strong imagination. I like overlook my problems by putting my mind in a different, happier, more peaceful area then where my problems are. For example, if I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Madagascar. I want to go there because I’m attracted to nature and animals, and Madagascar being an Island has species of animals there that aren’t found anywhere else in the world. Another example is that after High School I will probably be preparing to go to college and start another major part of life. My last example is that if I were to think of three other adjectives that other people would use to describe me, they would generous, outgoing, and basic.

    2. You sounds like quite the well rounded gentleman - I have always believed that an individual who loves animals is a good hearted person. I feel that imagination is one of the most important qualities a person can have, especially since, as you point out, it can aid during times when a person is not feeling so great. I enjoy your passion for reading and writing, hopefully it blossoms in the class.

  24. At the moment, I’m not really sure what my career goals are. But, I might want a career in the medical field. After high school, I plan on going to college. I don’t consider myself very social. I’m very shy at first. You will most likely find me sitting quietly drawing, but once I get used to you I will not stop talking. My hobbies are mixed martial arts, drawing, writing, and playing piano. In my free time, I like to listen to music and read. Piano is one of the things I’m most proud of because it’s something I actually enjoy doing and I kept moving forward with it.
My favorite thing about school is how most of the time I have fun in class. My least favorite thing about school is tests. Usually, no matter how hard I study, I chicken out and forget the right answer at the last minute. My favorite classes last year are Art and English. I would say English, because I love to read and write. And I would also say art, because I absolutely love drawing.
My least favorite book I’ve ever read was Strider by Beverly Cleary. It was a good story but, I didn’t really enjoy reading it. My favorite book or story is Peter Pan because honestly, I don’t want to grow up either. I mostly like to read Fiction and Comedy. But if I was required to read anything else I would.
If I could go anywhere, I would go to Italy. Part of my family still lives there so it would be pretty cool to visit. After high-school, I will most likely try to get into college. My ideal job could be a doctor or a nurse. I’m still thinking about the future, so I don’t know yet. Three adjectives that describe me are protective, trustworthy, and quiet. I am extremely quiet, I don’t usually talk much and I’m usually scolded by teachers to speak up. I’m very trustworthy, but I don’t exactly trust others the same way. In other words, you can trust me but I won’t exactly trust you. To me, Language Arts is the study of literature.

    1. After "Alice in Wonderland," "Peter Pan" would have to be my favorite book as well (the mix of childhood innocence and maliciousness is captivating). I am jealous of your piano skills since I have a negative amount of musical bones in my body.

  25. I have many career goals in my mind that I like to accomplish. The first one is playing professional soccer. It is my dream to play for a professional soccer team and playing in a big arena where you have all your fans cheering for you. When I was 5 years old I always watch soccer games with my dad and just be amazed how wonderful the soccer players play. Soccer takes hard work and dedication to become a professional soccer player not many players get scouted or get accepted to a professional team. But if I don’t go far in soccer I will go to college for four years and then later on I will go to the Marines where I can start my career. The Marines will make me strong, responsible, and a better person.

If I could go anywhere, I would go to Ecuador because most of my family and friends live there. I love to spend time with my family over there and go to many fun places. My family lives in a subtropical town name Puyo. Puyo is really beautiful to go to the town it is surrounded by the jungle where the animals live. You will see many types of birds, insects, and reptiles. Every night I will see people playing soccer on turf fields or on the streets. It always gives me a big smile because I love soccer and I like to watch people playing soccer. The beaches in Ecuador are marvelous the sand is really soft and when you lay on the sand it’s like sleeping on a comfortable bed. The water is crystal clear you can see your feet through the water and see little fishes passing by your feet

I do consider myself a social person. I like to talk to new people and try to be friends with them. Talking to many new people helps me to build confidence and not be shy around people. Whenever I talk to new people I am outgoing. I want people to know that I am a social person and I am fun to be around. I always like to make people laugh and make them to have a good time and realize that I am not boring and give people a good impression about me. I made many new friends in Dunellen and other towns, and that makes me feel proud about myself.

  26. I am perfectionist and I am not afraid to admit it. I work hard so all my work can be the best it can be. I am even making sure what I am typing right now is the best it can be and I already have pressed backspace several times. I am very hard-working and sometimes I do stress myself out with things. Luckily, I have friends and family that I can sometimes joke around with and have fun. In my spare time, I like listening to music on my Pandora account. That means I spent my entire summer with headphones. I also like reading a lot but, I don’t have a preference in genera. It’s also the same with movies. I also like spending time with my cousins, friends and the computer. My favorite thing about school is the fun and humor in class. I always enjoy when the teacher is interactive and fun but, we are still able to learn new things. My least favorite thing about school is the fact that I have to wake up at six o’clock in the morning, get ready and come to school. I’m half asleep in first period but, I do try to focus. It’s hard though. My favorite subject in school is history. I find it interesting to learn about so many cultures, societies and how things came to be. My favorite teacher from last year was Mrs. Stanley, my English teacher. She was nice and made class fun with things such as Quick Writes. Like I said before, I like to read a lot but, it would be hard to choose a favorite book. Right now, I am waiting for the last book of the Divergent series, Allegiant, to come out in October. It is definitely one of my favorite series. I also really like The Hunger Games. You can say that I am defiantly interested in books about future societies. Over the summer, however, I did read Matched but, I didn’t really enjoy it. To me, it seemed too much like the Giver. I also like books like The Book Thief. I found the history interesting and I like how the narrator was Death. I like when books have original ideas, interesting story lines and intense conflicts.
After I am done with high school, I do want to go to college. My goal throughout high school is to do my best so I can be able to go. That’s what I see myself doing after high school. I’m not a hundred percent sure what I want to do as my career. I want to do something to help others such as being a nurse but, I am not sure. I want to take some time and consider what I like because I want to do something that I enjoy. Once I decide what I want to do I’ll work and study hard to achieve my goal and hopefully, in a couple of years I will be able to go to college and get a job that I enjoy. I also hope that I may be able to travel and see other parts of the world. If I could go anywhere, I would go to Europe because it is has a different cultures, life styles and such compared to New Jersey. I want to learn, try and experience different things. I learn the most when the teacher makes the lesson fun and interesting and when they interact with the students. It makes the class more intriguing in my opinion. I learn the most when I am interested with the topic and study the subject in depth. After high school, I will probably go to college. My ideal job would probably be a nurse so I can help others. Three adjectives others might use to describe me are quiet (until you get to know me), smart and nice. My definition of language arts of is the study literature and things such as spelling and grammar.

    1. You have a similar taste in books to me - I will have to read "The Book Thief" as well, based on your description. 27. Hello Ms. Ell! My name is Alyssa Sabik and this is my first year in high school. My educational goal after high school, is to go to college and get the highest degree I can. I encourage myself to put all of my effort to be successful and live happily when I’m older. In 5-10 years, I see myself in college studying my future career. I will be living in a more improved and bigger town that I will feel safer in. I want to be able to live around a friendly environment because I am very social. I love to meet new people! I like to learn different qualities to people’s personalities too.

One thing I am proud of is how I can be positive. I have matured into someone who notices childish actions by both teens my age and even adults. I have witnessed arguments in the past years that has helped me to realize the reality in life and what to expect. During my free time, I enjoy listening to music or participating in family conversations, socializing with friends, or taking pictures of nature. I love music because it can speak to me when I am either in a great mood or a terrible mood. The reason why I enjoy participating in family conversations is because I like to express my opinion about things happening around us or something I am going through. I love taking pictures of nature or anything that catches my eye that seems artsy. Art is an interest that runs through the family.

My favorite thing about school is being able to socialize with friends and learning new interests of mine that may spark a thought of my future career. My favorite class last year was art. I love having that free period to create artwork that I, myself, am proud of. Since my family members enjoy viewing my art pieces, I can share it with them! When picking a book or watching tv, I prefer mysteries. I like mysteries because they keep me focused on the movie and/or book until the end. For example, I watch Investigation Discovery. Investigation Discovery is a channel loaded with murders, jail, court, and other crimes. From the insignificant details of an incident to suspects, to court, and to who is caught as the murderer contains so many mysteries.

If I could go anywhere, I would go to a destination that mainly consists of beautiful views of fascinating sights. I would go to Italy, Australia, or the Bahamas. I would go to Italy because I am amazed by the architecture and I love the food! The reason why I’d go to the Bahamas or Australia is for the breath taking scenes and different activities to take part in. I learn the most when the teacher has class discussions without any pressure. That way, I would be more comfortable raising my hand and participating. Another strategy most teachers use is reviewing and emphasising important parts that students should remember.
When it comes to learning, I seem to learn quicker and easier by visual aids. After high school, I am hoping to have one big interest of mine that will lead me to attend college to get a career that will help me live a stable life. My future plans include raising a family, owning house and being able to afford other important needs in order to survive. Three adjectives that people will probably use to describe me are caring, honest, and courageous. People would probably use caring as an adjective to describe me because I tend to help others with struggles at school, personal issues, etc. Honest would be another adjective to describe me because I am not afraid to tell the truth even if it couldn’t end well. Last but not least, is the adjective courageous. I try my best to face many challenges that come my way so that I feel like a hardworking, risk-taking individual.

    Goals
I hope to be either a lawyer or an accountant. I would want to be a lawyer because I like arguing and I can analyze situations and make well-thought out logically statements. I would want to be an accountant because I math is my favorite subject and I think accountants make very good money. After high school I want to go to college. I would like to further my education so I can get a job that doesn’t involve McDonalds. In 10 years I have two situations I see myself in. One situation is I will be an accountant making a lot of money but not really liking my job but keeping because I like money. I would have a large house with a pool and deck. The other is I would be a lawyer and I would be winning 90% of the cases I had and I would have some good money, but I would be much happier in life. I plan to get to these goals by going to college and either majoring in math or whatever you need to be a lawyer. After I am done with my 4 years I would go back to school for a higher degree (I think Masters) so my pay and resume would be better. Then I would go out to get one of the jobs I want.
    Personal Information
I don’t really consider myself a social person. I although I like talking and making jokes with my friends I tend to avoid others due to their either obnoxious or crude personalities. I am most proud of being at the top of my class last year. I was extremely proud to have finally beaten a person I’ve nicknamed “Taco” in the academic competition. In my free time I enjoy playing video games. My preferred console is the Xbox 360 because it is the superior gaming device. It is fun to play mindless games that are enjoyable and give me something to do. Currently I am involved in Pep Band and I hope to join French Club. My hobbies are playing video games and making people laugh. I always try to be funny and sometimes it actually works.

    1. Attitudes towards School and Educational Background
My favorite thing about school is lunch. During lunch I can socialize and talk with my friends. Also it is a relaxing time where I do not need to behave as well. My least favorite thing about school is when it starts. School starts, in my opinion, too early. It’s so early that most don’t get enough sleep and I am always groggy and tired. My favorite class last year was Writing Lab. Although I don’t like that subject, I enjoyed the teacher and his style of teaching. He was a cool teacher and he was affective at actually teaching me better ways to write. My most recent Language Arts course was English Honors last year. For most of the year we were reading a novel (we read two in total) and the other times in between we read short stories and learned writing and reading techniques. My favorite book is Leepike Ridge. It was a very interesting book that had an intriguing plot that had many twists that keep readers interested. I’ve read it many times because I enjoy so much. I really didn’t like a book we had to read for simmer reading called Tangerine. It was a very uninteresting book with a dull plot and boring characters. I like learning and reading fiction. Fiction stories can have such interesting and awesome concepts because it doesn’t have to be true or existing in real life. These made up ideas can be the most fun stories to read.

If I could go anywhere I would go to Canada. In my opinion Canada’s is the best country ever. Just think, nobody dislikes Canada. They are neutral in almost all wars and don’t instigate and take part in rivalries. There is no reason to hate Canada. Also, they have free health care. I learn the most when the teacher is good at their job. I can learn well with any teacher and any teaching style, unless the teacher is incompetent and should not be in an educational profession. I learn the most when I pay attention and enjoy the class. If I either enjoy the class or the teacher I will learn well. If it’s a subject I dislike or even a subject I do like but with a bad teacher then I won’t learn as well as I could normally. After high school I will probably go to college. I would like to continue my education to a point where I can get a good job that is very well paying. My ideal job is to be a lawyer. I didn’t think about this job until this year, but I would enjoy it a lot. I enjoy arguing and am very good at it. Anyone who isn’t brain-dead can understand what I am saying and will agree or at least concede. Three adjectives people may use to describe me is funny, intelligent, and outgoing. My friends and some others would say that about me, but certain people may choose different words, depending on their attitude towards me. The definition of Language Arts to me is learning and teaching of writing, reading and speaking literate well and affectively. When you are in any class that is part of Language Arts, Writing Lab, English, etc., you learn about literate and if the teacher is good, you should be learning all sorts of techniques to enhance your skills at reading, writing, and speaking it.

Though both a lawyer and accountant are admirable profession that showcase intelligence, if I were you I would choose the one that you would be happier with; life will be much more enjoyable that way and work will not feel like work. Also, even though the 360 is an excellent console, the Playstation has my heart for nostalgic reasons.

  29. Hello, I’m Micaellah Acosta. I am thirteen years and about to turn fourteen on September 27th. Its my first year in highschool, and I’m siked to get to learn new things in school. Although I’m a freshmen I have many goals in life. My career goals is to perform; singing, acting, dancing. Furthermore, I want to start a new program for bullying for teenagers, or teens that are struggling with problems. I’ve been a victim before, I want to stop the pain that teenagers feel, no one should have the right to be hurt.My educational goals after high school is to go to college, and study performing arts. Performing is something i love to do, i love to sing, act, and dance. Why not do something you love, right? After highschool I want to go to a state college, and finish college with a masters degree and maybe more. Obviously since I am a freshmen, I still don't know a lot and I am looking forward to learning new things that interest me.

I consider myself a social person because I love to socialize with friends, as well as meeting others. The musical also helped become more social, with meeting upperclassmen and interacting with them. I am not a shy gal, i love to get out there, and interact with people i don't know. I also became a very social person because of my sisters, meeting there friends, i got to meet their siblings. During my free time I love socializing, and hanging out with my friends, we usually walk around town and just “chill”. I used to be in the musical, but then I stopped but I’m thinking of joining again this year. I also love to sing and write stories, or just write about anything thats on my mind.
Ever since I was younger I loved to go to school, all for the same reasons; I get to socialize with friends! And of course getting to learn new things that interests me. For example, I love learning about science, and literature. My least favorite thing about school is math, I struggle in math the most. I also dislike having to wake up so early in the morning and since it’s my first year here, we have to wake up earlier to get to school. My favorite class last year was English in Ms.Stanley’s; it was my favorite because I had a lot of friends in that class...but of course the learning! I loved the books we got to read, especially The Giver. It was my favorite novel I have ever read in school. The class was also very entertaining, and since it was my last period I got to end the day with my favorite class.

  30. When I look for a book/movie I look for the genre of romance. I look for a book/movie with romance because almost every movie has somewhat of a little romance in it. What keeps going in watching a romance movie is the tension or the climax in the movie. For example, say that they met before and they were best friends and promised each other they wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize their friendship, but end up going out. When it reaches the part where the two characters admit it, I get goosebumps and the movie keeps me going. Honestly, I’m a very emotional person, and a sucker for love stories. So thats why I love watching romance movies. I love reading love stories and writing them as well because I love the fact that we get to imagine our first love, or when we will become in love.
If I could go anywhere I would go to places with extraordinary views and warm/hot locations. For example, I would go to the Philippines, and Caribbean.I would go to the Philippines, of course because thats where my family is from, but also because they have food to die for! In the Caribbean they have beautiful views like, there beaches and since its a big tourists spot theres many places to go and explore. They have palm trees, and its almost like the Philippines. All of these places have my favorite thing, the beach! The beaches there are all so gorgeous; with crystal blue waters and white sand. My friends usually tell me I’m a very bubbly person, caring and more. They tell me I’m a caring and helpful person to talk to others about their issues and that I’m creative with the ideas. Lastly opened minded with expressing opinions and not caring what others think.

You have a passion for life and learning that is contagious and I think that would translate well to the stage (whether in musical or dance form). Theater (as a spectator) is a passion of mine - would love to see you perform.

  31. Goals
    • My career goals are to become an author and work in business. I hope to someday start my own company. I also plan to have books published.
    • My educational goals after high school include going to college. I would like to go to a good college and get a good degree.
    • What I see myself doing in the next 5-10 years is going to college and getting a few jobs throughout my next 5-10 years. Since I want to be an author I will hopefully throughout college come up with some ideas for novels if not start writing one.
    • How I plan to get to where I want to be in 5-10 years is saving up some money to start college. I will give in job applications to the places I would like to work. Every night before bed when I will probably put all my thoughts down on paper. Thoughts about how my day went, how college is going, and more. That should give me ideas for a novel.

    Personal Information

    • Do I consider myself a social person, I can be. Sometimes I just don’t feel like talking. If I meet someone new I probably won’t be as social as if I knew them. On the other hand a lot of people complain that I’m too loud and I talk too much. If I choose to be social, I can/will be.
    • What am I most proud of, I’m proud that I have goals along with believe in myself that I can accomplish my own goals.
    • What I enjoy doing in my free time and why is, I enjoy going on the computer, playing with my 3ds, reading, and writing. Why I enjoy going onto the computer is mostly because of YouTube. People post videos and I along with tons of other people watch the videos. I enjoy my 3Ds mostly because of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I play on my 3ds when I can in my free time. Also, a 3Ds can be fun because it is portable and great when you’re bored. I have tons of books in my room. So, instead of letting them stare me down I decide I should do something with my life that I can benefit from later on, so I decide to reads them.
    • What extracurricular activities I plan to do include, volunteering. I plan to volunteer at animal shelters in the near future.
    • My hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, and playing video games. Even though I don’t get to accomplish everything just now listed I can contribute to say I do make an appreciative attempt towards accomplishing them. I try and read when in the car or when bored. I try and write when I have a minute.

      • My favorite thing about school is getting to learn new things. I enjoy learning and am content when I know I’ve learned something new. If I come to a situation the more you know the better.
      • My favorite book/story is Divergent. Why? Why is because the book takes place in a sequence different from life today. The author of Divergent is Veronica Roth who came up with the story while in college. The story is based on the narrative from one girl, Beatrice prior. The book includes action, science, betrayal, romance, killing, and more. It’s really a great read!
      • My least favorite book would probably have to be Guardian of The Dead. It takes place in New Zealand and the main character is Eleanor Spencer, who is seventeen and attends a boarding school. Even though the book was (in a perspective of my own,) educational it was not at all my style. It includes Maori Mythology, fairies, Eyeslasher murderers, which I enjoyed. Except, the Maori Mythology had contributed to my confusion involving the book. I felt this YA paranormal needed more paranormal involving Eyeslasher information.
      • What I most like to read or learn about is; I like to learn about science and writing. I enjoy learning about everything but writing and science are my favorite things to learn about. I like to read about YA Romantic Paranormal the best.

      Writing ability
      • If I could go anywhere I would go to California. I hear it’s nice there and I would like to see that for myself.
      • I learn the most when the teacher captivates my attention. Also, if I go after school to get help that really enforces me to learn more.
      • I learn the most when I write information down. If I take notes, I can look back to them later. Also, if I write information down on paper I may memorize it just by writing it down.
      • After high school, I will probably devote my time to trying to be successful. I will devote my time to getting a job if not jobs.
      • My ideal job would be an author. I hope to write my own books someday. Hopefully, that will turn into trilogies.
      • Three adjectives someone might use to describe me include caring, spontaneous, and restless. I am caring by having a love for animals. I am very caring when it comes to them. I can come up with random things on the spot which makes me spontaneous. For the most part, now-a-day I seem to always be full of energy.

I would sell my sketches, paintings and future things because art is one of my hobbies and I would like to make more than that someday. Two, I would enjoy being an athletic trainer. I am one with the sports, I dislike seeing people who have no skill in it so I would like to help them improve and build strength and confidence. I participate in all main sports like tennis, golf, hockey, ping pong, dodge ball, basketball, softball, baseball, football, and gymnastics. But I play softball and basketball mainly for my school. My family is all about sports, my grandfather was a football coach for high school and college and it would be nice to have the experience. Three, a police officer. I compete in national shooting competitions in New Mexico. I am #4 in the world for my age group, so I have the ability to shoot. I am very fast and strong from playing catcher in softball and basketball training so I would be able to chase and take them down. It would be amazing to be a cop. Officer Steele. After high school I’m going to college, get a scholarship from softball and go to art classes. I see myself as a cop, playing softball or basketball on the side with art as my hobby in 5-10 years from now. My planning to become one of my careers would have to be basically to go to college.
Yes I am a very social person. I have many good friends and I have many social accounts online. I talk to my friend about my problems and they talk to me about theirs. 1. This year I like gym, computer applications, and most of the teachers are nicer and easier to deal with. Gym I like because it has sports and exercising which is fun to me. Computers because the teacher Mr. Santiago is good and we are remixing music and it’s really fun. The teachers are nice and if I ask them a question they will actually answer it instead of going off track like last year’s teachers. That the classes are scattered between three floors, the traffic in the stairs are ridiculous, and that we are going to get more and tougher homework to complete.my favorite class last year was art because the teacher loved my art work and we bonded so I really like her class it was fun to be admired.
Last year which was 8th grade, I had Mrs. Stanley for English. My favorite book was, “Scary Stories 3: Tales to Chill Your Bones”. That was my favorite book because I love scary stories more than any other kind and this book had tons of different short tales, so it really kept me busy and interested. My least favorite book was, “Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry”. Because, I could not understand what was going on at all, I was lost and failed the tests on it. I love reading scary books, because it gets me hooked and I would read to the end to find out what happens, it is very interesting to me.
If I could go anywhere, I would go to Sydney, Australia because that is my dream vacation place. I learn the most when a teacher explains the lesson very slowly and simple so I can understand what they are talking about and when they completely answer a question I asked them. I learn the most m=when I am really focused and understand what the other person is saying and when I chew gum while listening cause it helps me focus. After high school, I will probably go to college nearby and study art. My ideal job would be a police officer. Three adjective other might use to describe me are, athletic, artistic and strong. My definition of language arts is difficult understanding stories.

    2. You seem like you have a pretty busy schedule with all the athletic events; good thing you have art to calm you down. The fact that you are so structured and have trained yourself in these various activities speaks volumes about your determination and the strength of your character. You're an impressive young lady (and I'm sure Officer Steele would be even more impressive). I don't think I've ever met anyone that excels in shooting competitions - how interesting.

  33. Goals
My career goal is to finish college, and make it pro or just try to be successful in a positive way.
My educational goal after high school is to finish college and be scouted either by basketball or football scouts.
What I see myself doing in the next 5-10 years is making it pro either in the NBA or NFL.
The way I plan on getting where I need to be in the next 5-10 years from now is practice, do good in school, hard work, want it more than anything,

    1. "Romeo and Juliet" has some beautiful poetic language in it - as a rapper and a poet I am not surprised you were drawn to it. Even though it is archaic for some of today's audiences, it was the most popular and taboo sort of art at the time.

  34. Hello my name is Darius Iza. I have two career goals, but my main career goal is being a music producer. After I graduate I will be moving to Florida where I will learn the business in the music industry. In the next 5-10 years I see myself being a club DJ because that was something I always wanted to be. Learning and getting pointers from other people in the business. I think I will get far in my career because I am very outgoing and friendly. I like to listen to music and mix because I have a great passion for it and someday I would like to become professional. I play soccer with friends sometimes, but many times I can’t find time to play. One of my main hobbies are mixing and listening to music.
There is nothing I really like about school other than socializing with friends. My least favorite thing about school is waking up early to go to it. I would have to say my favorite class was gym because it was easy and fun. Right now I am taking French 2 which is my last year taking my language course. My favorite book would be, “Stone Fox,” which I read like 5 years ago. My least favorite book would be, “The Cay.” It’s hard for me to find a book that I like about because I don’t like reading, but I like to learn about music.
One place I would love to visit is China. I learn most when teacher is teaching visually. I learn the most hands on. After high school, I will probably be working. My ideal job would be being a music producer. I am funny, nice, and sweet. My definition of language arts is working and reading.

    1. Do you play an instrument? You should consider taking the music theory class they offer at the high school. I'm sure it would help in your future career.

My career goals are to be a doctor. Why do I want to be a doctor? I heard that they win a lot of money and if you work hard you can find a cure to cancer. And because I also enjoy discovering new things about the human body. My educational goals are to go to go to Rutgers and to get a job to my college. I also want to buy a car to go from home to school and from school to home. I see myself in 10 years saving people’s life and finding a cure to decease.
Yes, I consider myself a social person because I make new friends every day, I’m friendly, helpful, easy going, and I talk a lot. I’m proud of my family because they are very hardworking and also proud of been Mexican because Mexico has the pretties flag of world and the best national anthem. I enjoy playing soccer on free time because I like to run and improve myself on soccer. My hobbies are to read and to listen to music at the same time.
My favorite thing about school is that I see my friend every day, and that I learn new things every day. My least favorite thing about school is that they don’t let us use our cell phones in school.my favorite class last year was science because I learned so much about cells, atoms, and elements.
My most recent language arts course was Mrs. Stanley. My favorite book is The secret of Christopher Columbus. It’s my favorite because it tells the real story of who discovered America. My least book is the upstairs room because I don’t like long stories and I also think that is really boring. I like to read about history and geography.
If I could go anywhere I would go to Paris, Spain, Mexico, Canada and The United Kingdom. I learn the most when the teacher talks slower because I can understand things better. I learn the most I feel awake and hyper. My ideal job is to be a doctor.
